Publicity and Press Officer, World War II Commemorations Team:  Co-ordinated paid advertising campaign and other publicity requirements  to commemorate VE Day and VJ Day.

1994                PRISON SERVICE CONFERENCE (Home Office)
Conference Manager: Co-ordinated all aspects relating to content, administration, domestic and other arrangements for 300 delegates from both the UK and abroad.

1988 - 1991     OFFICE OF POPULATION CENSUSES AND SURVEYS
Head of Census Publicity Unit: Co-ordinated all paid and other publicity requirements to publicise the 1991 Census and 1989 Census Test.

Senior Producer: Worked on various projects, including a publicity campaign for “Help the Aged” and the “Metropolitan Police” jointly.

Joint Head of Broadcast: Assisted the broadcast media with a wide variety of projects, e.g. news, documentaries and drama.  Accompanied Commissioner when broadcasting.  Assisted with press conferences and publicity.


1980 - 1985     CENTRAL OFFICE OF INFORMATION (COI)
Producer: Produced numerous documentary films, audio visual and video presentations for home government departments via and COI (5 years specifically on behalf of the Royal Navy and 1 year on behalf of the Home Office), as well as projects for other government departments (Department of Education and Science, Building Research Establishment, Ministry of Defence.)

1977 - 1989     FOREIGN AND COMMONWEALTH OFFICE
Assistant to F.C.O personnel, media and press liaison. With Seven State and Official visits to the UK, in conjunction with the COI.

1976 - 1977    SILVER JUBILEE INFORMATION UNIT
Press/Information Officer: Press and Information Officer for HM the Queen’s Silver Jubilee celebrations.  Awarded Silver Jubilee Medal 1977.

1969 - 1976     CENTRAL OFFICE OF INFORMATION
Researcher and Producer: Worked on a variety of programmes for overseas distribution sponsored by the F.C.O.  Reporter for BBC Radio World Service.
