Help us to learn the lesson of the Cross and to carry our daily crosses without complaint so that they may carry us to Jesus. Amen.

In the sight of other people she never washed her hands or her feet or her head. She never looked at the looked at the face of a man. She never spoke without blushing. She was abstemious, innocent, prayerful, patient: she was glad in God’s commandments: she was firm, humble, forgiving, loving: she was a consecrated casket for keeping Christ’s body and His blood; she was a temple of God. Her heart and her mind were a throne of rest for the Holy GhoSaint She was single-hearted (towards God): she was compassionate towards the wretched; she was splendid in miracles and marvels: wherefore her name among created things is Dove among birds, Vine among trees, Sun among stars. Saint Gregory’s Easter Prayer.

It is only right, with all the powers of our heart and mind, to praise You Father and Your Only – Begotten Son, our Lord Jesus Christ Dear Father, by Your wondrous condescension of Loving – Kindness toward us, Your servants, You gave up Your Son. Dear Jesus You paid the debt of Adam for us to the eternal Father by Your Blood poured forth in Loving – Kindness. You cleared away the darkness of sin by Your magnificent and radiant resurrection. You broke the bonds of death and rose from the grave as a conqueror. You reconciled heaven and earth. Our life had no hope of eternal happiness before You redeemed us. Your resurrection has washed away our sins, restored our innocence and brought us joy. How inestimable is the tenderness of Your Love! We pray You, Lord, to preserve Your servants in the peaceful enjoyment of this Easter happiness. We ask this through Jesus Christ Our Lord, Who Lives and reigns with God The Father, in the unity of the Holy Spirit, forever and ever. Amen.

Prayer to the Holy Face.
O Jesus, who in Thy Cruel Passion didst become the “Reproach of men and the Man of Sorrows”, I worship Thy Divine Face. Once it shone with the beauty and sweetness of the Divinity; now for my sake it has become the face of a “leper”.  Yet in that disfigured countenance I recognise Thy infinite love, and I am consumed with the desire of loving Thee and making Thee loved by all mankind.  The tears that streamed in such abundance from Thine eyes are to me as precious pearls which I delight to gather, that with their infinite worth I may ransom the soul of poor sinners. O Jesus, Whose Face is the sole beauty that ravished my heart, I may not behold here upon earth the sweetness of Thy glance, nor feel the ineffable tenderness of Thy kiss. Thereto, I consent, but I pray Thee to imprint in me Thy Divine Likeness, and I implore Thee to so inflame me with Thy love that it may quickly consume me, and soon I may reach the vision of Thy glorious Face in heaven! Amen.

Consecration to the Holy Family.

Do Thou protect us, guard us and establish amongst us Thy holy fear, true peace and concord in Christian love: in order that by living according to the divine pattern of Thy family we may be able, all of us without exception, to attain eternal happiness.

Mary, dear Mother of Jesus and Mother of us, by the kindly intercession make this our humble offering acceptable in the sight of Jesus, and obtain for us His graces and blessings.

To the Holy Trinity.
Glory be to the Father who, when I did not exist created me by His power in the likeness of His own image; and to the Son who when I was lost redeemed me by His precious Blood, and to the Holy Spirit who by His grace and goodness justified me in baptism, and many times afterwards when I had fallen. For each and all these benefits be the glory as great as it was in the beginning, and still greater be now in the course of this present life, and ever shall be to the consummation of the world and world without end. Amen. As I recite this doxology I wish to offer to the Holy Trinity all praise and I shall endeavour by grace to live this praise in action throughout this day for the rest of my life.

Grant that I may work in orderliness, peace, moderation and patience without shrinking from weariness and difficulties. I offer my fatigue and perplexities as reparation for sin. I shall work, above all, with a pure intention and with detachment from self, having always before my eyes the hour of death and the accounting which I must to render of time ill-spent, of talents unemployed, of good undone, and of empty pride in success, which is so fatal to the work of God. For Jesus through Mary, all in imitation of you, good Saint Joseph. This shall be my motto in life and death. Amen.

Saint Jude. Don’t Quit. Feast Day 28th October.
When things go wrong as they sometimes will, When the road you’re trudging seems all up hill, when the funds are low and the debts are high and you want to smile, but you have to sigh, When care is pressing you down a bit, rest, if you must, but don’t you quit. Life is queer with its twists and turns, As everyone of us sometimes learns, And many a failure turns about When he might have won had he stuck it out; Don’t give up though the pace seems slow. You may succeed with another blow. Success is failure turned inside out. The silver tint of the clouds of doubt, and you never can tell how close you are, it may be near when it seems so far; so stick to the fight when you’re hardest hit. It’s when things seem worst that you must not quit.

The Medal was immediately distributed far and wide. Numerous graces of conversion, protection and healing were obtained. Say every day the invocation inscribed on the Medal: O Mary conceived without sin pray for us who have recourse to Thee. Mary likes to be greeted in this way.

“The Power of Prayer” Composed by Saint Maximillian Kolbe. Feast Day 14th August.
The day was long, the burden I had borne seemed heavier than I could longer bear and then it lifted-but I did not know someone had knelt in prayer; had taken me to God that very hour, and asked the easing of the load, and He, in infinite compassion, had stooped down and taken it from me. We cannot tell how often as we pray for some bewildered one, hurt and distressed, the answer comes, but many times those hearts find sudden peace and reSaint Someone had prayed, and Faith, a reaching hand, took hold of God, and brought Him down that day! We are comforted in knowing your heart is ever open to those who ask for your prayer. We trust to your gentle care and intercession, those whom we love and who are sick or lonely or hurting. Help all of us, Holy Mother, to bear our burdens in this life until we may share eternal life and peace with God forever. Amen.

Prayer to Saint Sebastian Patron of Athletes. Feast Day 20th January.
Dear Commander at the Roman Emperor’s court, you chose to be also a soldier of Christ and dared to spread faith in the King of Kings for which you were condemned to die. Your body, however, proved athletically strong and the executing arrows extremely weak. So another means to kill you was chosen and you gave your life to the Lord. May athletes be always as strong in their faith as their Patron Saint so clearly has been. Amen.

Prayer for Serenity.
God grant me Serenity to accept the things I cannot change. Courage to change the things I can and Wisdom to know the difference.

Grant us this favour, O Saviour of the world, Who lives and reigns with the Father and the Holy Spirit forever and ever. Amen.

Teacher’s Prayer.
I want to teach my students how to live this life on earth, to face its struggles and its strife and improve their worth. Not just the lesson in a book or how the rivers flow, but how to choose the proper path wherever they may go. To understand eternal truth and know the right from wrong and gather all the beauty of a flower and a song. For if I help the world to grow in wisdom and in grace then I shall feel that I have won and I have filled my place. And so I ask Your guidance, God that I may do my part
for character and confidence and happiness of heart. Amen.

Prayer to Saint Thomas Aquinas Patron of Catholic Schools, Academics, Philosophers, Theologians, Booksellers, Colleges, Universities. Feast Day 28th January.
Angelic Doctor, Saint Thomas, prince of theologians and model of philosophers, bright ornament of the Christian world, light of the Church and patron of all Catholic schools, who didst learn wisdom without guile and dost communicate it without envy, pray for us to the Son of God, who is Wisdom itself, that by the coming of the Spirit of Wisdom upon us, we may clearly understand that which thou didst teach, and by imitating thee, may bring to completion that which thou didst do; that we may be made partakers both of thy doctrine and thy holiness; whereby thou didst shine on earth even as the sun; and finally, that we may enjoy with thee in heaven forever more, the most delectable fruits of the same, praising together with Thee Divine Wisdom through endless ages. Amen.

Prayer For Those Struggling With Sin.
Lord Jesus, grant that I may see in you the fulfillment of all my need, and may turn from every false satisfaction to feed on you, the true and living bread. Enable me to lay aside the sin that clings so closely, and run with perseverance the race set before me, looking to you, the pioneer and perfecter of my faith. Amen.

Prayer for Saint Thomas More. With A Lawyer’s Prayer.
Dear Scholar and Martyr, it was not the King of England but you who were the true defender of the faith. Like Christ unjustly condemned, neither promises nor threats could make you accept a civil ruler as head of the Christian Church. Perfect in your honesty and love of truth, grant that lawyers and judges may imitate you and achieve true justice for all people.

Lawyer’s Prayer.
Give me the grace good Lord, to set the world at naught; To set my mind fast upon thee and not to hang upon the blast of men’s mouths. To be content to be solitary. Not to long for worldly company but utterly to cast off the world and rid my mind of the business thereof. Amen.

Prayer to Saint Valentine. Feast Day 14th February.
Dear Saint and glorious martyr, teach us to love unselfishly and to find great joy in giving. Enable all true lovers to bring out the best in each other. Let them love each other in God and in God in each other.

Love.
Love is patient and kind it does not envy or boast and it’s never proud, Love is not rude or selfish, it does not get angry easily,or keep track of wrongs. Love does not delight in bad things but rejoices in the truth. Love always protects, trusts, hopes and perseveres. Love never fails. Saint Paul to the Corinthians.

A Very Powerful Prayer To Obtain A Favour.
O great Passion! O deep Wounds! O Blood shed in abundance! O Meekness! O God of Meekness, O cruel death, have mercy on me and grant my request if it be for my salvation.

Promises of Our Lord.
“I will grant all that shall be asked of Me through the invocation of my Holy Wounds.” “With my Wounds and my Divine Heart you can obtain all.” “Eternal Father, I offer Thee the Wounds of Our Lord Jesus Christ to heal those of our souls.” “My Jesus, pardon and mercy, by the merits of Thy Holy Wounds.”

Prayer to Saint Vincent de Paul Patron of Charitable Societies. Feast day 27th September.

O glorious Saint Vincent, heavenly patron of charitable societies and spiritual father of those in misery, while on earth you extended a kindly hand to the needy. Through your merciful intercession, obtain help for the destitute, relief for the abandoned, solace for the unfortunate, comfort for the sick and the grace of preaching the Gospel to the poor. May your example of charity encourage priests to work for the salvation of all souls that the love of Christ may be known to all people. We ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.

A Prayer To The Wound Of The Holy Shoulder.
O most loving Jesus, meek Lamb of God, I, a miserable sinner, salute and worship the most sacred Wound of Thy Shoulder of which Thou didst bear Thy heavy Cross, which so tore Thy flesh and laid bare Thy bones as to inflict on Thee an anguish greater than any other wound of Thy most blessed Body. I adore Thee, O Jesus most sorrowful; I praise and glorify Thee, and give Thee thanks for this most sacred and painful Wound, beseeching Thee by that exceeding pain, and by the crushing burden of Thy heavy Cross, to be merciful to me, a sinner, to forgive me all my mortal and venial sins, and to lead me on toward heaven along the Way of Thy Cross. Amen.

It is related in the annals of Clairvaux that Saint Bernard asked our Lord which was His greatest unrecorded suffering, and our Lord answered: “I had on My shoulder, while I bore My Cross on the Way of sorrows, a grievous wound, which was more painful than the others, and which is not recorded by men. Honour this wound with thy devotion, and I will grant thee whatsoever thou dost ask through its virtue and merit. And in regard to all those who shall venerate this wound, I will remit to them all their venial sins, and will no longer remember their mortal sins.”
